Quality Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a highly successful, globally recognised engineering manufacturer to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer for their modern manufacturing facility based in Hoyland, Barnsley.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturer renowned for engineering excellence, innovation and investment in its people. You'll play a key role in driving quality improvements across the manufacturing operation, working closely with production teams to resolve issues, prevent recurrence and continually improve quality performance.

Location: Hoyland, Barnsley

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001 standards
• Investigate manufacturing quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies including 5 Why, Ishikawa and 8D
• Drive corrective and preventative actions to eliminate recurring quality concerns
• Analyse quality data and provide meaningful reports to support business decisions
• Manage containment activities and customer complaint investigations within your areas of responsibility
• Promote a proactive, continuous improvement culture across manufacturing
• Work closely with production teams to improve processes and reduce defects
• Support internal quality audits and continuous compliance activities
• Contribute towards improvements across welding, fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing processes

About You

We're looking for a proactive Quality Engineer who enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively to improve manufacturing performance.

You'll ideally have:

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working within ISO 9001 Quali
