Electrical Engineer<br />Spire Alexandra Hospital | Chatham | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 Hours<br />Looking for a role where your technical expertise makes a real difference?<br />At Spire Alexandra Hospital, our Engineering team plays a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Estates team and help keep our hospital environment running smoothly, safely and efficiently.<br />This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and hospital infrastructure. From fault finding and testing to supporting critical building services, you'll work in a modern healthcare environment where your skills have a direct impact on patients, colleagues and visitors every day.<br />What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Electrical testing, fault finding and minor installations
  • Supporting essential hospital systems, including electrical infrastructure, ventilation and water services
  • Working alongside specialist contractors and ensuring compliance with HTM guidance
  • Participating in a 1-in-4 on-call rota
  • Helping drive continuous improvement across the hospital estate<br />What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Healthcare Buildings Maintenance with electrical bias background
  • UPS, IPS, 3 phase and single-phase circuits, motor, inverters, generators, switch rooms
  • Experience in electrical maintenance and repair
  • Able to understand the requirements under HTM-06 and be either LV Competent Person or LV Authorised Person qualified and carry an 18th edition certificate<br />Why Join Spire?
