This position is contingent upon contract award. Candidates will proceed through our standard screening and selection process; selected candidates will be placed in the role if the contract is awarded
Location: Remote (U.S.-based); core hours in U.S. Eastern Time (ET), Monday–Friday
Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable U.S. Government background investigation as a condition of employment. Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Software Integration Engineer to support the sustainment of the Defense Health Agency''''''''s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Anti-Harassment Case Management System — an Entellitrak (Java / Java EE) platform that automates complaint tracking and regulatory reporting. This role centers on API and system-interface development, hands-on application engineering, and integration work across production and non-production environments, delivered within an agile sprint cadence.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and system interfaces that integrate the case management platform with other systems.
- Develop and enhance application code to resolve production issues and improve performance, sustainability, and reliability.
- Implement and update database schemas and scripts that support production reporting requirements.
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and close out Tier III trouble tickets; perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Ensure fixes, patches, and upgrades (including COTS) are fully tested and approved before deployment to production.
- Deliver source and executable code with documentation each release, and provide testing support during development and Government IV&V.
What You Bring (Required)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable U.S. Government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of directly related experience.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including System Integration and System Interface Development.
- At least 10 years of technical experience in Health IT.
- Demonstrated experience developing DoD systems using the DoDI 5000.02 agile development process.
- Experience implementing database schemas.
- Knowledge of computer concepts and techniques to develop and apply automated solutions to engineering, scientific, or business data acquisition and management problems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Entellitrak
- Strong API / web-services integration background (e.g., REST, SOAP).
- Java / Java EE application development experience.
- Experience with COTS case management platforms (Entellitrak a plus).
- Experience in DoD / federal health IT sustainment environments.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance.
