Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineer / Remote / LaGrange, GA

Our client is a leading manufacturer of commercial flooring and branded entrance matting solutions, serving some of the largest businesses and organizations across the United States. Based out of LaGrange, GA, they are looking to hire a Cybersecurity Engineer on a contract-to-hire basis.

You'll work alongside infrastructure, cloud, and networking teams to strengthen security across a Microsoft-first environment while helping drive the company's cybersecurity strategy forward. They're looking for someone who is humble, hungry to learn, and smart in their approach to solving complex security challenges.

Contract Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire (eligible for full-time conversion after 6 months)

NOTE: This is a REMOTE position. Candidates MUST reside within 2 hours of LaGrange, GA.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of Cybersecurity or Security Engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft 365 Defender
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security, networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls
  • Experience administering enterprise security platforms
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Purview, Sentinel, or Security Copilot
  • Experience with ThreatLocker and Thinkst Canary
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • Security certifications (Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, SC-100, CISSP, etc.)
  • Manufacturing or enterprise environment experience
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and improve enterprise security controls
  • Enhance Microsoft Defender XDR detection and response capabilities
  • Manage vulnerability remediation with infrastructure and application teams
  • Administer Microsoft security platforms, ThreatLocker, and Thinkst Canary
  • Support incident response, penetration testing, and compliance initiatives
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cloud teams to strengthen security
