Regional HR Business Partner, Derbyshire

Hybrid

£50,000 - £56,000 per annum plus company car or car allowance

We’re looking for an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to join a growing utilities organisation, supporting operational teams across Derbyshire and the Midlands.

This is a broad, high-impact HR role combining strategic partnering with hands-on operational HR, giving you the opportunity to influence people strategy while staying close to the day-to-day needs of the business.

The Role

You’ll partner with operational leaders and managers across the region, providing commercially focused HR advice and helping deliver the people agenda across a diverse and operational workforce.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior operational leaders to develop and deliver effective people strategies.
  • Providing trusted advice on employee relations, performance, absence, organisational change and workforce planning.
  • Supporting managers through complex HR issues and ensuring consistent application of policies and employment legislation.
  • Leading and supporting organisational change, restructures and transformation programmes.
  • Using people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Coaching and developing managers to build HR capability across the region.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver regional and organisation-wide people initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for a confident HR professional who can operate comfortably at both strategic and operational levels.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Experience supporting operational, field-based or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge.
  • The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building trusted relationships.
  • Experience of organisational change, workforce planning and people initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused approach with the confidence to get involved and make things happen.
  • Trade union experience would be useful, but is not essential.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.

This is a permanent, regional role offering up to £56,500 plus company car or car allowance, covering the Midlands and other geographical areas.
