Database Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure SQL, Data Lakes, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Oracle databases, and CI/CD pipelines. This role involves building and maintaining relational and non-relational databases, implementing data transformation solutions, optimizing database performance, ensuring data security, and supporting cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Azure Data Lakes and Lakehouse solutions.
• Build and maintain Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and relational/non-relational databases.
• Develop ETL/ELT data transformation and integration pipelines.
• Implement and optimize data loading processes using Azure data load utilities.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and query execution.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and geo-replication strategies.
• Configure RBAC, encryption, and network security to protect data.
• Work with Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory, SQL Analytics, ARM, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior database engineers.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
