The Role • Lead end-to-end procurement activity for a major national programme, ensuring delivery against cost, quality, and schedule targets. • Source, negotiate, and place significant international contracts, driving substantial commercial outcomes. • Manage and develop supplier performance to meet critical delivery, quality, and cost expectations. • Proactively identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, strengthening partnerships across the UK, Europe, and North America. • Engage effectively with senior stakeholders, including Director level and MOD representatives. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function and support team development. What You'll Need • Considerable experience in sourcing, negotiating, and placing complex contracts, including terms, conditions, and risk mitigation. • Proven track record of delivering procurement activities consistently against cost, quality, and schedule targets. • Experience managing suppliers and major contracts within highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance. • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems for effective procurement and contract management. • Strong commercial awareness and sound legal understanding for negotiating and overseeing detailed agreements. • Extensive experience in procurement or contract management to drive programme success.
