Senior Developer

Position Overview

• Location: Salem, Oregon (Remote / Telecommute eligible for US-based candidates)
• Shift: Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule
• Work Arrangement: Remote (Bring-Your-Own-Device: requires personal computer, high-speed internet, webcam, and phone)
• Interview Process: Conducted virtually via MS Teams (Webcam required)

Key Important Skills

• Core Stack (10+ Years Required): Java, J2EE, IBM DB2 UDB, Eclipse IDE
• Application Expertise: 1–3 years direct experience with eXPRS application development
• Domain Experience: Prior State Government / Public Sector tech experience within the last 5 years
• Methodologies & Tools: Agile/Scrum, Azure DevOps (ADOS) backlog management, Git, microservices/batch processing refactoring

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve application defects, complete backlog refactoring, and implement UI/performance enhancements in 2-week sprint cycles.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum teams.
• Document technical specifications and transition knowledge to ongoing team members.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field.
