Position Overview
We are seeking a Financial Trading Systems Product Engineer to join our growing Product team. Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you will serve as the bridge between business operations and software engineering, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
This is a high-impact, highly autonomous role where you''ll design and build internal software systems, automate operational workflows, manage integrations, and develop the core infrastructure supporting our sales, operations, and client delivery teams.
Within your first six months, you''ll own projects from business requirements through deployment. Within your first year, you''ll help build the foundational systems that support the company''s next stage of growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain internal systems that replace external SaaS dependencies, ensuring owns its core infrastructure
  • Automate manual processes across sales operations, reporting, and client delivery
  • Leverage AI-assisted development (Claude Code) as your daily workflow accelerant
  • Manage and improve our central database and the integrations that connect it to every tool we use
  • Translate business requirements from the sales and operations teams into technical specifications and shipped code
  • Maintain engineering discipline: version control, testing, documentation, and clean deployments

You’re a Great Fit If You...
  • Have a degree in Financial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Computer Science (with finance interest), or a related quantitative field
  • Have strong software fundamentals, are fluent in SQL, and understand API integrations
  • Have foundational knowledge of financial products (structured notes, derivatives, fixed income)
  • Have strong habits around code quality
  • Are excited about AI-assisted development and have used Claude, Copilot, or similar tools
  • Thrive in small, fast-moving teams where you own your outcomes
  • Can communicate with non-technical people about technical tradeoffs
  • Are innovative and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to create solutions

You’re Probably Not a Fit If You...
  • Want to specialize deeply in one technology and not think about the business context
  • Need extensive structure, detailed specifications for tasks, and a large team around you
  • Are uncomfortable with ambiguity or changing priorities
  • Prefer to maintain existing systems rather than build new ones
