Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced analysis across electrical, mechanical, software, and actuation systems.
- Use modeling and simulation to define and validate system requirements, performance, reliability, and safety.
- Develop test plans and correlate test data with models.
- Conduct subsystem testing and support system/vehicle integration.
- Apply innovative engineering solutions to enhance product performance.
- Review designs and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Work with internal teams and customers to define requirements and present technical results.
- Improve standard engineering processes and documentation.
- Mentor engineers at multiple experience levels.
- Support proposals through technical definitions, trade studies, and compliance activities.
- Some limited travel may be required (15% typical)
- Additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering with 9+ years of experience (or bachelor's with 11+ years).
- Preferred experience using MATLAB and Simscape for dynamic, thermal, and power-flow analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary engineering efforts.
- Preferred: FEA/CFD experience (Ansys), knowledge of electric/hybrid propulsion systems, and experience with actuation technologies (motors, gearing, ball screws, DC motor drives).
- Preferred: Experience with military programs, government contracting, ITAR, and working with primes or Tier 1 suppliers.
