Quick Overview
Job Description
Location: Cambridge, UK
Salary: £90,000 – £120,000 + Bonus and Benefits
Overview:
This is a senior leadership role with real scope and impact - not a title-only position and not a turnaround of a struggling office.
You’ll take an already established Cambridge presence and scale it further, building on strong foundations to grow the team, expand client relationships, and strengthen regional influence.
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Established office - not a cold start
- Strong existing pipeline in industrial, logistics, and real estate
- Backed by a growing, entrepreneurial consultancy
- High level of autonomy and influence
- Direct impact on hiring, clients and strategic direction
- Clear progression path to further senior leadership and potential equity
- This is a nimble business where decisions are made quickly and senior individuals genuinely shape outcomes.
The Opportunity:
You’ll join a specialist construction consultancy delivering major industrial, logistics, and real estate projects across the UK and Europe.
The business is known for: high-quality project delivery, long-term client partnerships and technical excellence across project and cost management.
The Cambridge office is already established with a solid core team. The next phase is focused on growth:
- Expanding headcount
- Strengthening the regional client base
- Increasing market visibility and presence
- This role sits at the centre of that growth strategy.
The Role: You will take full ownership of the Cambridge office across operations, commercial performance, and strategic direction - effectively running a “mini business” within the wider consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Cambridge office (team, performance, delivery)
- Build and strengthen key client relationships across the region
- Drive business development and work-winning activity
- Oversee delivery of multiple projects and programmes
- Mentor and develop an established team
- Collaborate with senior leadership on regional and business strategy
About You:
- Associate level Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Leader
- Background within a construction consultancy environment
- Strong client-facing and business development skills
- Experience leading teams and/or delivering complex projects
- Comfortable taking ownership of a region, office or P&L
