Network Administrator

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain an enterprise network environment for a local government organization. This role will focus on maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and enhancing and upgrading the organization's existing environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on network administration experience and a strong understanding of core networking fundamentals, with demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting switches and routers.

Duration: 3 to 6 months with potential to extend/convert

Location: Onsite in Lakewood, WA

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 to 5 pm PST

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support an enterprise network environment.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network switches and routers.
• Enhance, improve, and upgrade the organization's existing network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to VLANs, DHCP, TCP/IP, and DNS.
• Monitor network performance and help maintain a reliable and secure network environment.
• Follow established processes and documentation when making network changes.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional network administration experience.
• Strong understanding of core networking fundamentals and concepts.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing network switches and routers.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with: VLANs, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS. etc.
• Ability to diagnose network issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
