Job Description

U.S. Navy Marine Diesel Engineer | Conshohocken, PA, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Support diesel engine propulsion systems and ship service diesel generators onboard Navy surface ships and Submarines/Aircraft Carriers.
  • Conduct diesel engine data analysis, trending, and reporting, as well as logistics development and project planning.
  • Perform ship visits for inspections and data collection.
  • Verify diesel engine calibration and governor control.
  • Troubleshoot diesel propulsion and generation systems and provide installation support for new system upgrades.
  • Assist program managers, engineers, and Navy personnel.

What You'll Need

  • BS in Marine Engineering from an ABET institution is required; other degrees will not be considered.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in diesel engine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; recent graduates from a Maritime Academy are preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Shipboard experience is desired.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
