What you will doAs Manager, Privacy and Information Management, you will lead the department's privacy and information management function. You will help improve privacy practices, support good recordkeeping, and guide your team to deliver strong results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team that manages privacy, information management and records programs.
- Provide expert advice on privacy laws, policies and information management.
- Develop clear policies, frameworks and improvement plans that support legal compliance.
- Monitor privacy and records performance, identify emerging risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Prepare clear reports, lead responses to privacy incidents and build privacy awareness across the department.
A degree in law, a privacy certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, or significant experience in information privacy is desirable. Experience interpreting the Public Records Act, applying Public Record Office Victoria guidelines and leading a team is also desirable.
You should also have:
- Expert knowledge of privacy, records and government information laws.
- Strong skills in solving complex problems and providing trusted advice.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on planning, improving services and developing others.
Ongoing, full time role earning $142,790 - $191,084 per year, plus super.
