AWS/FS Java Developer

Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $80.00 USD Hourly - $115.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a AWS/FS Java Developer

This is a senior level W2 position. No C2C candidates will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software engineering, including system design, application development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Experience leading the effective use of AI-assisted software development tools for code generation, code review, test automation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices within software engineering workflows, including data privacy, security, compliance, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers on the safe and effective adoption of AI-enabled development practices.
• Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or similar distributed database technologies.
• Experience with one or more frontend technologies, including React, Angular, JavaScript frameworks, or related web development technologies.
• Experience implementing automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile development methodologies, application resiliency, and software security principles.
• Experience delivering software solutions in cloud environments, including AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile technologies, or other modern technical domains.
• Knowledge of financial services technologies, platforms, and industry-specific regulatory considerations.
• Experience driving engineering excellence through automation, reliability, observability, and scalable architecture practices.
• Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience influencing technical strategy and guiding engineering teams through complex technology initiatives.
