Job Description

The Opportunity

An established and growing UK wealth management and financial planning business is looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Financial Planner to its London office in the City.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished adviser with recent Chartered advisory experience, joining a high-quality private client wealth management environment.

The Business

The firm provides holistic financial planning, investment and wealth management advice to private clients, helping individuals and families protect, structure and grow their wealth over the long term.

Advice covers areas including:

  1. Investments and portfolio planning
  2. Pensions and retirement planning
  3. Tax-efficient investments
  4. Estate and inheritance planning
  5. Protection
  6. VCT, BR and other tax-efficient solutions
  7. Cash-flow modelling
  8. Intergenerational wealth planning

The Role

The successful Chartered Financial Planner will manage and develop long-term private client relationships, providing comprehensive financial planning and ongoing advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and developing a portfolio of private clients
  2. Delivering holistic financial planning across investments, pensions, retirement, tax and estate planning
  3. Building trusted, long-term client relationships
  4. Conducting regular client reviews and identifying further planning opportunities
  5. Developing new client relationships and growing assets under advice
  6. Working closely with paraplanning, administration and investment teams
  7. Maintaining the highest standards of client service, suitability and regulatory compliance
  8. Contributing to the continued growth of the London business

Candidate Profile – Key Requirements

Candidates should have:

  1. Minimum c.5 years’ financial planning/advisory experience prior to becoming Chartered
  2. Full Chartered Financial Planner status
  3. Several subsequent years actively advising clients as a Chartered adviser
  4. Recent/current Chartered advisory experience
  5. Strong holistic private client financial planning experience
  6. Excellent technical knowledge across investments, pensions, retirement, tax and estate planning
  7. Strong relationship-management and client-facing skills
  8. The credibility to advise affluent and high-net-worth clients

In addition, the business operates an attractive adviser bonus scheme based on initial fees generated from new business
