Contract D365 Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant

Outside IR35 | Remote | Long-Term Engagement

I'm currently supporting a business that is looking to strengthen its Dynamics 365 Business Central capability with the appointment of an experienced Techno-Functional Consultant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating across business analysis, functional consulting and hands-on Business Central development, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

The organisation is looking for an individual who can take ownership of requirements, drive system improvements and deliver ongoing enhancements within an evolving Business Central environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and improve business processes
• Configure and optimise Business Central functionality
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Design and deliver Business Central enhancements and customisations
• Develop and maintain AL extensions
• Support integrations and ongoing platform development
• Manage testing, UAT and deployment activities
• Act as a trusted SME for Business Central across the business

Essential Experience

• Strong Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Previous experience in a Techno-Functional, Functional Consultant or Solution Consultant role
• Proven experience supporting Business Central implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
• Strong understanding of:
  • Finance
  • Sales Order Processing
  • Inventory Management
  • Warehouse Operations
  • Operational Workflows
• Excellent stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills

Technical Requirements

• Hands-on AL Development experience
• Experience building and maintaining Business Central extensions
• Experience delivering Business Central customisations
• Strong understanding of Business Central architecture
• Experience working with APIs and integrations
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
• Comfortable working closely with developers and external delivery partners
