Job Description

SBA are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking a User Researcher (G7) on an initial 6 month contract.

Location: London, Bristol OR Manchester (1 day p/w)

You will:

  • Be able to conduct user research in accordance with Government Service Manual in large complex environments
  • Work in an agile environment with other specialists in accordance with the government Service Manual
  • Have experience undertaking user research with a community of specialist users, ideally in support of developing cyber security services
  • Be able to understand the complex problems a team is trying to solve
  • Be able to appropriately select and apply a range of user research approaches to inform design decisions
  • Be able to work within an agile environment to quickly prioritise action
  • Be able to think critically, use analysis and challenge of assumptions or change the status quo
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively and build relationships with stakeholders, including those at very senior levels
  • Have experience of understanding the benefits of different user research methods and helping teams choose and adopt new methods

Desirable:

  • Experience setting up and championing a user research function in a prior role
  • Experience with Government Cyber business needs or Cyber Services product development.
  • Candidates who have prior knowledge of Government Cyber business needs or have worked within Cyber Services product development before would be highly advantageous
