The Role • Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop, enforce, and audit network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance. • Serve as a People Leader for the firewall task area, managing operations, projects, and assessments. • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members. • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions seamlessly. What You'll Need • BS degree and 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI (TS/SCI preferred). • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification prior to start. • Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to start. • Demonstrated advanced experience in managing firewall configurations and evaluating rules for maximum security. • Proven experience in planning, directing, and managing a Firewall Team within a DoD environment.
