Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support a mission-critical modernization program delivering a modular, adaptable software suite of essential capabilities across multiple warfighting functions. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between operational requirements, system architecture, and technical development teams, analyzing complex system behaviors, performance characteristics, and capability gaps to drive informed design decisions and ensure mission-effective solution delivery.

This position operates across cloud and tactical edge environments, supporting systems analysis, modeling, and validation across the full software development lifecycle - from initial concept through fielding - in both garrison and deployed settings, including Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Low Bandwidth (DDIL) environments.

The work is to be performed at the customer site at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

This role is contingent upon award news in Fall 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and decompose complex system architectures, operational workflows, and capability requirements to identify performance gaps, integration dependencies, and technical risks across cloud and tactical edge environments
  • Translate system analysis findings into actionable recommendations, functional specifications, and design inputs that inform architecture decisions and drive mission-effective capability development
  • Serve as the primary analytical liaison between Government stakeholders, architects, developers, and end-users to ensure system performance requirements are accurately captured, communicated, traceable, and verifiable throughout the program lifecycle
  • Evaluate and validate system capabilities including data flows, interoperability interfaces, processing performance, scalability, and end-to-end system behavior across multiple security domains
  • Support analysis and validation of tactical edge system configurations, ensuring analytical models account for operations in DDIL environments including 72-hour autonomous operations and seamless system synchronization upon network restoration
  • Participate in product demonstrations, design reviews, and agile development cycles, providing rapid technical assessment of system performance and compliance against documented requirements and operational needs
  • Collaborate with vendors, partners, integration SMEs, and Government stakeholders to identify and resolve system performance risks, capability gaps, and technical dependencies throughout the program lifecycle

Qualifications

Required Clearance:
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • TS/SCI Preferred

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, or a related technical discipline
  • Or Master's Degree preferred in Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a related analytical or technical field

Required Experience:
  • Eight (8+) years of progressive experience in systems analysis, systems engineering, or a closely related field, with a minimum of three (3) years supporting defense, military, or interagency programs at the operational or acquisition level
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and modeling complex system architectures across multi-vendor, multi-domain environments, with proficiency in systems modeling tools, performance analysis methodologies, and functional decomposition techniques
  • Experience working within agile development frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban, with working knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines, system verification and validation methodologies, and test and evaluation planning
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, data security frameworks, and the unique system performance and security requirements of classified and multi-domain network environments
  • Experience analyzing cloud-based and tactical edge platforms, including the ability to model and validate system performance under DDIL conditions and constrained hardware environments
  • Background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, open-architecture frameworks, and familiarity with military data standards, symbology, interoperability protocols, and operational workflow analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to lead systems analysis working groups, brief senior military, civilian, and interagency audiences, and drive technical consensus across multi-vendor and multi-functional teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
