Job Description

The Integration Specialist is responsible for the integration, configuration management, validation, troubleshooting, and preparation for testing of software within full flight simulator and military training system requirements. The role is primarily a hands on military training system integration role. The role works across simulator software, platform systems models, avionics interfaces, visual systems, instructor operating stations, host computers, networking, I/O, Windows and Linux environments and controlled software baselines.

  • Develop, integrate, configure and validate simulator software and subsystem behaviour with full flight simulator and military training system environments.
  • Participate in the development, integration, verification, validation and acceptance of simulator systems and products from system simulations through to user interface.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues across software, hardware, operating systems, networks, configuration baselines, timing, and simulator interfaces.
  • Act as a technical interface with customers for simulator integration, deployment, troubleshooting and acceptance support.
  • Support future evolution of simulation software delivery into Defence hosted or cloud enabled environments where required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering or Computer Science; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding in complex systems integration, simulation products, ideally within the Defence or Aviation industries.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., GitHub).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid nature from the Homebush office (3 days on site per week and 2 days of flexibility).
  • Ability to obtain or maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance - must be an Australian citizen!
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Full flight simulator, flight training device, mission training system, synthetic training environment or military training system integration experience.
