Job Description

Location: Leicestershire + UK & Worldwide Travel

Please note: You MUST live within 45 minutes of LE8 to be considered for this role.

Shift:Monday Thursday 8:15 17:30, Friday 8:15 12:30
Salary: £35k - £45k (OTE £56k)

The Role:

My client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. Essentially you will provide technical support, maintenance, installation, and training for their CNC machinery both in the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will also be involved in in-house machine builds and administrative functions.

Job Role:

  • Install, commission, and support the companys systems at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems on CNC machinery
  • Troubleshoot, install, calibrate, and maintain equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and deliver training to customers on-site and in-house.
  • Conduct axis alignments to maintain machine accuracy and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and calibrate service tools and test equipment.
  • Perform a workload consisting of approximately 60% mechanical, 40% electrical, and some pneumatic tasks.
  • Interpret circuit diagrams and follow detailed schematics.

The Candidate:

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Strong experience with 5-axis CNC machines, including motor systems, drives, and axis alignment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
