Quick overview
Job description
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is a leading multinational pharmaceutical company based across global locations. Each of our 24,000 plus employees comes to work every day for one collective purpose: to accelerate access to affordable and innovative medicines because Good Health Can’t Wait.
We started in 1984 with a modest investment, 20 employees and a bold vision. Today, we have research and development centres, manufacturing facilities or a commercial presence in 66 countries.
For nearly four decades, we have stood for access, affordability and innovation based on the bedrock of deep science, progressive people practices and robust corporate governance. As the pharmaceutical industry evolves and undergoes disruption, we see an opportunity – to strengthen our core further (the next steps) and to build the future (the new bets).
‘The Next and the New’ is how we aim to continue to be the partner of choice – purpose-driven, future-ready and sustainable. Our aim is to reach over 1.5 Bn+ patients across the world by 2030 by growing our core businesses and building for the future with sustainability at the core of our purpose and strategy. Sustainability for us means operating in a manner that respects people, planet and purpose – helping us conserve precious resources, serve our patients, create value for stakeholders, give back to society, fulfil our potential and maintain our integrity and transparency
Dr Reddy’s maintains a work environment, free from discrimination and is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to employ & nurture all qualified diverse workforce without regard to race, colour religion, nationality, sex, age, disability status, genetics, sexual orientation, gender expression, citizenship or any other characteristic or classification protected by applicable law(s) of the country we operate in. We treasure every talent, and recognize merit and diversity in our organization.
Digital Process and Excellence (DPEx)
DPEx is where process excellence, digital, data and AI come together to transform how we work and create better outcomes for patients and customers.
Our transformation agenda is anchored around two priorities: Digitalize the Core, by simplifying, standardizing and digitizing how we operate today; and Transform with Digital & AI, by reimagining processes, experiences and ways of working for the future.
At the heart of DPEx are three principles:
- Expertise: Bring together deep process, business, digital, data and AI expertise to solve the problems that matter.
- Outcomes: Focus on measurable business, customer and patient outcomes
- Culture: Build a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, collaboration and digital-first ways of working.
Our priorities include:
- Reimagining Dr. Reddy’s as a platform-based, AI-enabled organization.
- Making data a strategic asset that drives better decisions, competitive advantage and business impact.
- Applying AI and emerging technologies to augment people, automate work and reimagine processes.
A once-in-a-generation opportunity
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how medicines are discovered, developed, manufactured, supplied, commercialized and supported. At Dr. Reddy's, our ambition is not simply to digitize existing processes, but to reimagine how a global pharmaceutical enterprise operates in an AI-first world.
As Chief of Staff to the Chief Digital & Information Officer, you will work directly with the executive and the overall team responsible for enterprise-wide Digital, Data, Technology and AI transformation. You will help shape strategy, influence executive decisions, design future operating models and accelerate some of the company's most important transformation initiatives.
The role combines the intellectual rigor of consulting with the ownership and impact of building transformation from within.
01 Shape enterprise strategy - Define and refine enterprise AI, Digital, Data and Technology strategy. Translate priorities into clear choices, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
02 Design the future enterprise - Create future-ready operating models, capabilities, governance and ways of working for an AI-enabled organization.
03 Drive transformation - Lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives from problem definition and concept design through execution and value realization.
04 Advise executive leadership - Develop Board and executive narratives, decision frameworks, business cases and recommendations. Act as a trusted thought partner to the CDIO.
05 Find the next value pools - Identify opportunities in AI, process excellence, automation, productivity, digital platforms and new ways of working.
06 Build enterprise alignment - Partner across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Supply Chain and Corporate Functions to resolve trade-offs and accelerate outcomes.
This is not a PMO role. It is a strategic leadership role for exceptional problem-solvers who want to move from advising transformation to leading it.
6-8 years of experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, a CEO/CXO office or a comparable high-intensity environment
• Ideally from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Kearney, Strategy&, Accenture Strategy or another leading strategy and transformation environment
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related analytical discipline from a leading institution
• MBA from a top-tier business school strongly preferred
