Expert Cloud Engineer

Introduction:

An Expert Cloud Engineer is responsible for implementing, automating, and administering Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure. This role involves utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, automation scripts in Python or PowerShell, and managing various Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Redis, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and a passion for optimizing cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and automate Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Manage GKE cluster, pod, and service administration
• Administer Linux and Windows servers
• Configure and administer Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub
• Utilize CI/CD pipeline technologies for continuous integration and deployment
• Work with GitHub repositories for version control and collaboration
• Implement security tools like Prisma Cloud, Tenable, and perform OS patching/upgrading

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 84 months of experience implementing, automating, and administering Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Automation experience using Python or PowerShell
• Knowledge of GKE cluster, pod, and service administration
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub
• 36 months of experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies
• 36 months of experience using GitHub repository
• 24 months of experience using Prisma Cloud, Tenable, OS Patching/upgrading
