Python Automation Engineer

Required Qualifications

·       Strong Python experience, preferably with a focus on process and workflow automation.

·       Experience working with APIs and integrating with other applications and data sources.

·       Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases.

·       Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar source control tools.

·       Experience building and supporting solutions in a production environment.

·       Understanding of testing, logging, validation, exception handling, and software development best practices.

·       Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through both technical and business process issues.

·       Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.

·       Comfortable working in an Agile environment and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.

·       Preferred: Experience with AI-enabled automation solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Automation Developers to help design, develop, enhance, and support business process automation solutions. This role will focus on delivering automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support evolving business needs. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to implement scalable automation solutions and provide ongoing production support.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Automation Development & Delivery - Design, develop, and implement automation solutions based on prioritized business requirements.

·       Process Automation - Automate manual, repetitive, and operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and risk reduction.

·       Solution Enhancements - Maintain and enhance existing automation solutions as business processes and requirements evolve.

·       Production Support & Maintenance - Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and provide ongoing support for automation solutions in production environments.

·       Testing & Quality Assurance - Develop and execute testing strategies while incorporating appropriate validation, logging, exception handling, and monitoring controls.

·       Business Collaboration - Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, support user acceptance testing, and facilitate implementation.

·       Documentation & Knowledge Sharing - Maintain technical and functional documentation and support knowledge transfer activities to ensure long-term solution sustainability.
