IT Financial Analyst

Partner with Information Technology teams to understand the business of IT

Support forecasting, planning, and variance analysis through strong financial modeling

Enhance budget process efficiency and monthly financial review efficiencies

Conduct ad-hoc analysis

Support leadership financial reviews

Improve information flow and decision-making

Enhance department process efficiencies

Build and improve financial and reporting frameworks

Support department and organizational transformation initiatives

Level of Education: B.S. or B.A. Degree

Five years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, or equivalent

Experience supporting budgets and financial reviews for Technology departments is strongly preferred

Finance/Budgeting-Experience with budgeting and financial analysis. Experience using allocation metrics to distribute costs. High attention to detail.

Accounting-Knowledge of coding structures; Organizational hierarchies, chart of account hierarchies. Knowledge of general purchasing and Accounts Payable processes. Governmental knowledge a plus.

PeopleSoft- Experience working within an Accounting System / ERP system. PeopleSoft experience preferred.

ERP Reporting tools/ Hyperion- Experience using ERP reporting tools, Hyperion experience preferred.

Excel- Strong experience using enhanced formulas and pivots.

Modelling - Experience gathering and understanding business drivers to develop financial models.

Workflow/Process Analysis-Understanding of lean and six sigma processes; proven ability to improve workflows and drive clarity to those workflows. Ability to bring strong, strategic analytic capabilities Experience with an enterprise system transformation and process-redesign

Other- SharePoint-specific experience and skills preferred. Power BI experience a plus.

Communication-Proven ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly. Strong process documentation skills. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
