The Role • Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient yard operations. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with established protocols. • Relocate containers and chassis within the intermodal yard to optimize space and workflow. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in an industrial or logistics setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Capability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts.
