Senior Business Developer

Job Description

A leading Am Law firm is seeking a Sr. Business Development Specialist to support the growth of the firm's Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice. You will work closely with attorneys and firm leadership to identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and develop strategies to expand the practice. The ideal candidate has experience in law firm business development and an understanding of the bankruptcy, restructuring, or financial services landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice.
• Identify prospective clients, referral sources, and new business opportunities.
• Lead client pitches, RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
• Build relationships with attorneys, financial institutions, restructuring advisors, and other industry contacts.
• Conduct market research and monitor bankruptcy filings, restructuring activity, and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and generate cross-practice business.
• Maintain CRM records, track business development opportunities, and support pipeline reporting.
• Collaborate with attorneys and marketing teams on client outreach and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or related financial services practices preferred.
• Experience preparing RFPs, pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
• Strong relationship management, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to work directly with attorneys, partners, and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and business development research tools.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
