The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions utilizing Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce robust network security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. • Conduct system audits to verify adherence to security baselines and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions seamlessly. • Serve as a key leader for personnel responsible for firewall operations, projects, and assessments, ensuring timely delivery and providing technical guidance. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent military/work experience. • Minimum of 3 years of Firewall experience within the DoD environment. • Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, and manage a Firewall Team in a large-scale organization. • Proven experience implementing perimeter and internal firewalls in both physical and virtual contexts. • Advanced experience in managing standard baseline configurations across multiple firewalls and evaluating rules for optimal security and efficiency. • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification prior to start. • A Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to start.
