What's the role?
We are seeking an exceptional leader to join Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) as Head of Data, Digital & AI. Reporting to the GM, Data, Digital & AI, this pivotal executive role will lead the transformation of how data, analytics, digital innovation and artificial intelligence drive banker productivity, client outcomes and business performance.
This is a rare opportunity to define and execute a market-leading Data, Digital & AI strategy within one of Australia's leading institutional banking environments. You will be responsible for embedding analytics and AI directly into banker workflows, creating intelligent, role-aware AI agents and delivering innovative solutions that help bankers make better decisions, improve client engagement and unlock sustainable growth.
The OpportunityAs the Head of Data, Digital & AI - CIB, you will lead specialist analytics, intelligence and agentic delivery teams to build and scale next-generation capabilities across Corporate & Institutional Banking. Working closely with business, risk, finance and technology leaders, you will drive the evolution of a modern intelligence ecosystem that enables faster, smarter and more informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and delivering the Data, Digital & AI strategy for Corporate & Institutional Banking.
- Leading the analytics, intelligence and agentic workforce agenda.
- Designing and implementing AI-powered and conversational analytics solutions embedded into banker workflows.
- Building role-aware AI agents that support client preparation, opportunity identification, daily planning and execution activities.
- Leveraging enterprise data, analytics and intelligence capabilities to enhance productivity and decision quality.
- Developing and governing risk, credit, capital and balance sheet models.
- Driving agentic workflows that automate analysis, monitoring and low-value activities.
- Partnering with Risk, Finance and Technology teams to ensure robust governance, transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Championing a data-driven culture and increasing data and AI literacy across CIB

You are a commercially minded executive with deep expertise in institutional banking and a proven track record leading large-scale data, analytics and AI transformations within complex, regulated environments.
You will bring:
- Deep understanding of Corporate & Institutional Banking, balance sheet optimisation and risk management.
- Significant leadership experience delivering data, analytics and AI capabilities within regulated financial services environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capability, including model design, interpretation and governance.
- Experience embedding analytics into front-line business decision-making.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business, risk and technology functions.
- Extensive experience operating within institutional banking environments
- Experience deploying AI assistants, agentic workflows or autonomous AI solutions.
- Exposure to conversational analytics and digital product development.
- Knowledge of capital, liquidity or treasury analytics.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide data culture transformation initiatives.
- Commercial acumen and strategic thinking

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skill
