Job Description

Role: Lead Spark/Scala Engineer
Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
Duration: 6+ months

Key Skills:

  • Strong Apache Spark & Scala experience, including DataFrame APIs
  • AWS/S3, Iceberg, Git, SQL & Data Modeling
  • Large-scale data platforms, ingestion, governance, performance & distributed systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Leadership & Delivery:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Lead onsite-offshore coordination and client interactions
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Drive design, sprint planning, releases, PROD support, and documentation
  • Identify risks/blockers and provide technical guidance to offshore teams

Nice to Have: AI/ML workflows, data science pipelines, AWS, Agile/Scrum
