Job Description


We are seeking a Maintenance Technician Facilities to join our dynamic team supporting Client production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general mechanical maintenance, equipment assembly, and safe work practices and a proven ability to support uninterrupted production through corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.


Responsibilities:



  • Assemble corn husking beds and related equipment per work instructions and safety standards.

  • Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance to support plant operations.

  • Maintain the plant shop, tools, and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.

  • Assist with grounds and facility maintenance as assigned.

  • Maintain detailed equipment records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with Operations to schedule and complete maintenance without interrupting production.

  • Use ladders and aerial lifts with required tie-off procedures at all times.

  • Follow all Corteva safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply mechanical concepts.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, follow directions, and work independently or in a team.

  • Reliable attendance and transportation to the work site.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds and work indoors and outdoors on uneven surfaces.

  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to adjust to changing conditions and make independent decisions.


Preferred Skills:



  • General maintenance or agriculture experience.

  • Knowledge of production agriculture or production plant operations.


Schedule & Work Conditions:



  • Standard shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. May start at 6:00 AM as needed.

  • During busy seasons, second or third shift and weekend work may be required with notice.

  • Exposure to dust and plant allergens.

  • PPE: Over-the-ankle steel toe or composite toe boots required.

  • Ladders up to 8 ft and aerial lifts up to 40 ft with tie-off above 4 ft and at all times in lifts.


Additional Details:



  • Start: ASAP. Interview not required. Resume review required.

  • Driving for the assignment is not required. Valid US driver's license preferred but not required to drive for the role.

  • Non-local or remote candidates will not be considered.

  • Reason for opening: Increase in work.
