Job Description
NYC DOE is seeking paraprofessionals to support students and school communities in primary and secondary education settings. This opportunity is centered on helping create structured, supportive classrooms where students can engage in learning and receive the day-to-day support they need to succeed.
In this role, you will contribute to a student-focused environment by working closely with teachers and school staff to reinforce learning, support student development, and help maintain consistency throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to students under teacher direction throughout the school day.
- Assist students with academic tasks, behavior management, and daily routines.
- Support individualized learning plans and help reinforce lesson objectives.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and staff.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment for students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to work across NYC school locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Experience supporting children in classroom, childcare, or special education settings.
- Experience with behavior management in school environments.
- Experience following teacher guidance and supporting individualized student needs.
