Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - Node Connectivity

Primary focus will be on Go Lang, Kubernetes and AWS, C, C++

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in C/C++.
• Comfort working in a Linux and/or embedded systems environment.
• Networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Lead in the design and development of Merakis node connectivity solution.
• Work with all teams across Engineering to improve core functionality and optimize development cycles.
• Mentor junior developers in the art of software engineering.
• Drive debugging of issues when things don't go as planned.
• Be responsible for evaluating the performance of existing components and subsystems.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working with gRPC.
• Expertise in networking, including TCP/IP (v4, v6) networks, 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, ARP.
• Experience with embedded systems development such as Yocto and Buildroot.
• Experience with network security.
• Passion to improve code, implement reusable design patterns, and use industry best coding practices.
