Our client seeks a Technical Project & Operations Manager to manage technical workstreams within Groups & Events initiatives while executing day-to-day billing operations. The contractor will coordinate across Product, Technology, Integrations, Finance, Legal, and external partners to maintain project momentum, deliver accurate billing, and document procedures that improve control, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple technical workstreams within Groups & Events projects, coordinating activities, dependencies, timelines, risks, and deliverables across technical teams.
- Coordinate activities across Product, Technology, Integrations, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain project plans and track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and actions for assigned workstreams.
- Facilitate technical project meetings, drive follow-ups, and escalate risks or blockers as needed.
- Coordinate testing, integration, environment, deployment, and technical readiness with applicable teams.
- Provide clear status reporting and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Execute end-to-end billing for assigned Groups & Events products and services.
- Maintain billing schedules, hotel and product records, fee details, invoicing inputs, and support documentation.
- Validate charges against commercial terms and prepare or coordinate billing files and invoice requests.
- Reconcile billing records across internal systems, vendor records, agreements, and financial reports.
- Research and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, credits, and adjustments in partnership with Finance or Collections.
- Maintain accurate billing trackers and reporting. Respond to billing questions from stakeholders and vendors.
- Maintain complete and traceable billing records for controls, compliance, and audit requests.
- Document end-to-end billing processes, roles, handoffs, systems, controls, exceptions, and escalation paths.
- Create and maintain SOPs, process maps, templates, calendars, and job aids.
- Identify gaps and automation opportunities. Recommend and help implement improvements to strengthen accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience managing technical workstreams or projects with multiple teams, systems, dependencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in billing, invoicing, financial operations, accounts receivable support, or reconciliation.
- Ability to shift between project leadership and detailed operational execution.
- Ability to work across technical, operational, and financial teams and translate information into clear actions.
- Strong process documentation skills including SOPs, workflows, and job aids.
- Experience analyzing data, reconciling records, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Strong organization, written communication, stakeholder management, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and structure developing processes.
- Strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation, and data validation. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and project tracking tools.
- Preferred: Experience with SaaS, enterprise technology, systems integration, or technology product portfolios.
- Preferred: Experience collaborating with Finance, Legal, Technology, vendors, and product teams.
- Preferred: Experience establishing or maturing billing operations into controlled, repeatable models.
- Preferred: Hospitality technology, hotel systems, Sales & Catering, Groups & Events, or related industry exposure.
- Preferred: Familiarity with vendor invoicing, recurring fees, contract-based billing, dispute management, and financial controls.
