Job Description

Group Finance & Accounts Manager


Location: Vellore


Reporting To: Managing Director / Proprietor

Titan Stores

Finance & Transport Business


Job Purpose


To oversee the complete finance, accounting, taxation, cash flow, compliance, and financial reporting functions of all group businesses while ensuring proper controls, profitability monitoring, and management reporting.


Key Responsibilities


1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping


Supervise all accounting activities across group businesses.

Ensure daily accounting entries are completed accurately.

Verify sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Review and approve accounting records.

Ensure books are updated on a daily basis.


2. Cash Flow Management


Prepare daily cash position reports.

Monitor cash inflows and outflows.

Plan fund requirements for business operations.

Manage working capital efficiently.

Coordinate with banks for fund management.


3. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance


Ensure timely GST filings.

Ensure TDS deductions and returns are filed correctly.

Monitor compliance with all statutory requirements.

Coordinate with auditors and consultants.

Handle notices and assessments if required.


4. MIS & Management Reporting


Prepare Daily Business Reports.

Prepare Weekly Performance Reports.

Prepare Monthly Profit & Loss Statements.

Prepare Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Reports.

Present business performance to management.


Daily MIS Should Include:


Sales by business

Collections

Bank balances

Outstanding receivables

Major payments due


Monthly MIS Should Include:


Revenue

Gross Profit

Net Profit

Expenses

Stock Value

Debtors & Creditors

Cash Flow Position


5. Inventory & Stock Control


TVS Dealership


Vehicle stock reconciliation

Spare parts stock monitoring

Claim reconciliation

OEM incentive reconciliation


Retail Stores


Stock verification

Slow-moving stock analysis

Shrinkage monitoring

Inventory ageing reports


6. Banking & Finance


Coordinate with banks for:

OD limits

CC accounts

Vehicle funding

Working capital loans

Term loans

Monitor interest costs.

Prepare documents required by banks.


7. Internal Controls & Fraud Prevention


Implement financial controls.

Monitor cash handling procedures.

Conduct surprise cash audits.

Verify stock movements.

Identify leakages and irregularities.


8. Audit Coordination


Coordinate statutory audit.

Coordinate tax audit.

Coordinate internal audit.

Ensure audit observations are closed on time.


9. Team Management


Recruit and train accountants.

Supervise accounts staff.

Set KPIs for finance team.

Review performance of accounts personnel.


10. Business Expansion Support


Financial feasibility studies.

Project reports for new businesses.

Loan proposals.

Investment planning.

Budget preparation.


Desired Candidate Profile


Education


CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance


Experience


8-15 years experience.

Automobile dealership or retail chain experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Banking, MIS, and Inventory Controls.

Tally Prime

MS Excel (Advanced)

Google Sheets

Dealer Management Systems (DMS)

ERP Systems


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Daily


Cash Report submitted before 10 AM.

Bank Reconciliation updated.


Monthly


MIS submitted by 5th of every month.

GST compliance 100%.

Inventory variance below 1%.

Accurate monthly P&L.


Annual


Successful audit completion.

Improved working capital management.

Reduced financial leakages.
