This is an entry level Health Information Management position. HIM students are encouraged to apply! 

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.  

   

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing, scanning, and indexing documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Organizes and maintains health information records.
  • Reviews pre-electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information.
  • Manages requests for documentation and information.
  • Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems.
  • Assist with providing coverage for department phone lines as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Experience with Computers and Windows based programs
  • Experience in Health Information Management 
  • Ability to work full time onsite at N17W24100 Riverwood Dr Waukesha, WI 53188
  • Ability to work 8:00AM - 4:30PM CST, Monday - Friday

   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical terminology experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)

   

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
