Job description

Join us in shaping excellent HR support for Ramboll

Join our UK People Advisory team as a People Partner, supporting managers and employees on complex employee relations matters while helping improve our HR services. You will combine hands-on case management with opportunities to develop policies, processes and ways of working.

At Ramboll, you will contribute to an organisation working to create sustainable change that benefits society and nature, helping us close the gap to a sustainable future.

Be Part of Our UK People Advisory Team

You will primarily support employees and first-line managers in the UK across a broad range of people processes and employee relations matters.

As a senior member of the team, you will independently manage employee relations cases, guide colleagues and contribute to the development and implementation of global people initiatives and processes.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Employee relations and manager advice: Advise managers on employment policies, UK employment law and HR processes.
  • Independently manage employee relations cases and advise managers on performance improvement plans, absence, grievances, investigations, involuntary terminations and other matters requiring senior HR support.
  • Policies, compliance and specialist expertise: Develop HR policies and procedures in close collaboration with the Head of HR and HR Business Partners.
  • Drive compliance with UK legislation and guide junior colleagues on its application.
  • Develop local expertise in global HR processes or organisational change.
  • Service improvement, projects and colleague guidance: Contribute to local and global HR projects, supporting the development and implementation of people initiatives and improvements to ways of working.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues within the UK People Advisory team, working with local and global HR colleagues to provide a consistent service to employees and managers.

What You Bring

You are an experienced HR professional with strong employee relations expertise and a practical approach to supporting managers and employees.

You will work collaboratively across local and global HR teams, building effective relationships and helping improve the services we provide.

Essential experience and capabilities

  • Extensive HR experience, including strong experience managing employee relations processes and cases.
  • Fluent communication in English.
  • Communicate clearly and build effective working relationships with managers and HR colleagues.
  • Take ownership of initiatives and processes and drive them forward.
  • Solve problems pragmatically and support colleagues where needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and services in response to employee and manager needs.
  • Work collaboratively across cultures and in virtual teams.
  • Very good knowledge of UK employment law, including workplace-related legal requirements.
  • A university degree in a relevant field.

Useful additional experience

Familiarity with modern HR systems, particularly Workday and ServiceNow, is a strong advantage. Knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel, is also beneficial.

What We Offer

  • A high degree of autonomy and varied work in a business-focused HR team.
  • Support and collaboration from local colleagues and global HR teams, with a UK base and international connections.
  • A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
  • Access to an international HR community spanning 35 countries
