Business / Systems Analyst IV

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Role Overview

This position is responsible for supporting and ensuring the quality of data. The role involves assisting with data-related issues, supporting integration projects, and acting as a technical bridge between business and technical teams. A primary focus will be supporting an integration with Optimum West, with secondary duties related to a merger with Cox.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
• Ensure products align with user needs and company goals.
• Assist in data inquiries, including questions about data drops, duplicates, and correctness.
• Research data lineage and trace data mappings.
• Perform data quality checks and anomaly detections.
• Utilize JIRA to open and update tickets as needed.
• Work with Data Quality/Data Validation teams to ensure thorough testing.
• Review current processes and check for completeness.
• Identify areas for team improvement and implement best practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with SQL, including analysis, writing ad hoc queries, data validation, and data quality.
• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with data warehousing.
• Strong understanding of Python.
• Demonstrated ability to perform critical thinking and work through challenges.
• Must be able to take initiative and solve problems without constant oversight.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a data-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python programming experience.
• Experience working with UNIX Shell scripting.
• Snowflake experience.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position with multiple location options in Charlotte, NC; St. Louis, MO; or Dallas, TX. The schedule is hybrid, with the specific number of remote and onsite days varying by location.
