Tier 2 SOC Analyst / Senior SOC Analyst

• Position: Security Analyst – Project Lead
• Location: Columbia, SC (Nationwide open; Eastern Time Zone hours required)
• Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid / Onsite (Preference given to local/onsite candidates)
• Interview Process: Virtual/Online Interview (1 round, with potential for in-person)

Key Required & Preferred Skills

• Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Minimum 2+ years analyzing security events, validating incidents, and conducting root-cause investigations.
• MITRE ATT&CK Framework: 2+ years of hands-on experience applying threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Dashboards & Reporting: 2+ years creating operational dashboards, timelines, and incident reports.
• SOC Operations: Experience in supporting Tier 2 operations within large SOC environments.

• XDR / XSIAM Platforms: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM/XDR.
• Network & Systems Security: Knowledge of Linux, firewalls, VPN technology, Active Directory, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Certifications (Bonus): CISSP, CISA, CEH, OSCP, or relevant vendor security certifications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Correlate event data across SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence feeds to identify complex threats.
• Investigate malware, phishing, and policy violations; advise on containment and recovery.
• Fine-tune detection rules, alert thresholds, and SOC playbooks to reduce false positives.
• Proactively hunt for emerging threats and collaborate with engineering teams on monitoring configurations.
