Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior eDiscovery(Operations Lead ) professional with hands-on experience supporting complex electronic discovery environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronic Stored Information (ESI) identification, collection, processing, data manipulation, scripting, advanced queries, eDiscovery applications, reporting, and workflow automation.
Candidates with supervisory or team leadership experience are highly preferred for positions involving team lead responsibilities. Certification or hands-on expertise with leading eDiscovery platforms such as Microsoft 365/O365, Concordance, Relativity, RelativityOne, or Clearwell is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and provide recommendations supporting management, organizational, and business improvement initiatives.
- Analyze strategic goals and apply appropriate methodologies, models, tools, performance measures, and benchmarking standards.
- Support assessments, program audits, management initiatives, and policy development.
- Gather information from users and stakeholders to understand business problems, requirements, and operational challenges.
- Define work problems and design systems, processes, and procedures to resolve identified issues.
- Identify, collect, organize, and manage electronic data and Electronic Stored Information (ESI).
- Perform advanced processing of ESI across multiple eDiscovery systems and platforms.
- Conduct hands-on file manipulation, conversion, transformation, and data preparation activities.
- Create and maintain scripts to support eDiscovery processing, data management, reporting, and workflow automation.
- Create users, configure access, and administer eDiscovery applications as required.
- Develop advanced queries to search, analyze, process, and extract electronic data.
- Integrate legal and eDiscovery systems to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Develop and implement automated workflow concepts to improve eDiscovery processes.
- Produce, format, validate, and deliver electronic discovery data according to project and legal requirements.
- Create reports, procedures, documentation, and process guides.
- Ensure reporting requirements and established eDiscovery procedures are consistently followed.
- Collaborate with legal, technical, business, and other stakeholders to resolve complex eDiscovery requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other eDiscovery team members.
- May serve as a Team Lead, providing direction, coordination, and oversight to eDiscovery resources.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior-level eDiscovery experience supporting work of similar scope, complexity, and technical requirements.
- Strong hands-on experience with eDiscovery and Electronic Stored Information (ESI).
- Experience identifying and collecting electronic data.
- Advanced experience processing ESI across multiple systems.
- Hands-on experience with file manipulation and data/file conversions.
- Experience developing and utilizing scripts and advanced queries.
- Experience creating users and configuring eDiscovery applications.
- Experience developing or supporting automated eDiscovery workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience creating technical documentation, reports, procedures, and process requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technical, legal, business, and management stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory, mentoring, or Team Lead experience.
- Certification in an eDiscovery program, platform, or related software package.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Microsoft 365 / O365
- Concordance
- Relativity
- RelativityOne
- Clearwell
- Experience integrating legal systems and eDiscovery platforms.
- Experience with advanced eDiscovery queries and scripting.
- Experience implementing workflow automation within eDiscovery environments.
- Experience supporting program audits, assessments, benchmarking, and process improvement initiatives.
