Job Role - C# and Powershell Scripting Engineer

Location - Redmond, WA

Duration: 11 months + Contract

Job Description:

Title: Software Design Engineer 2 (2-4 Years of Experience)

Duration: approx. 11 months

Candidate Location Requirements: ONSITE - Redmond, WA

Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills

  1. Debugging hardware issues (2 years)
  2. Technical documention, especially trouble shooting guides (2 years)
  3. Scripting or command line tool development (2 years) - C# and PowerShell (or transferable skills for coding)

Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is supports cloud gaming, allows people to play XBOX games from any device.
Key projects: The role will focus on server help : devices in the data centers playing the game can sometimes burn out or break, and need someone to repair. Vendor will triage all incoming fault signals to make repairs as necessary. Identify the root cause for the issue and submit a ticket to resolve, work on resolving the issue, ticket management, escalation management.

Candidate Requirements
Disqualifiers: Resumes with lack of tech industry experience will not be eligible for the role.
Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred.

Hard Skills Assessments
Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: The week of July 13th _.
Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1-2 round per person(30-45 minutes)_.
Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be able to speak on prior experience and speak about coding experience, for the assessment.


Summary:
The main function of this role is to analyze failure signals, debug root causes, and provide improved automation and fixes for repairing and maintaining a fleet of cloud gaming hardware.

Job Responsibilities:
Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software systems related to health monitoring and repair
Gather and analyze requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to improve fleet health
Document issues, identifying trends and learnings
Improve AI tooling, including skills and context files for trouble shooting
Provide detailed trouble shooting guides for onsite technicians as appropriate
Schedule work windows and join calls to debug physical hardware issues

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
2-4 years experience required
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
large systems software design and development experience
Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems
experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
