Job Description

Job Title: Lab Desktop Engineer with GxP

Location: Collegeville, PA - 100% ONSITE FROM DAY 1

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

        

Make sure candidate should have pharmaceuticals or life sciences domain                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining existing computer infrastructure of 5000 PCs globally.
  • Image/Onboard new computers into the domain and onto the network and decommission it.
  • Secure and protect new and existing hardware.
  • Consult with the business as they require assistance with their equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and implement data flows for scientific instruments.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Outstanding computer troubleshooting skills for obscure issues, ranging from device connectivity and laboratory software issues.
  • Background with End-user Computing or Desktop Support skills essential. Break/Fix consists of 80% of a Lab Engineer’s workload.
  • Understanding of Hardware Components and Networking concepts, such as network topology, VLANs, Static/Dynamic IPs, Subnetting, IT/OT Networks, and basic understanding of firewalls. Candidate should be familiar with the OSI model and how to troubleshoot different network layers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory required.
  • D2D and/or project support.
  • AGILE ways of working necessary.
  • Background with computer security.
  • Previous experience with validated systems (GxP) a plus.
  • Implement the validated data backup solution on laboratory analytical equipment (equipment and software investigation, documentation, technical configuration) within R&D (GxP and non-GxP).

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
