Brand new, long-term contract opportunity to the market for a seasoned Technical Solutions Architect, working on a large-scale project for our public sector client. You will work on a long-term programme of work, designed to upgrade the current digital technology estate - with the anticipated length of this contract up to a maximum of 3 years.
This is a remote role; however, candidates must be based in Scotland due to the nature of the assignment. Candidates must also be able to achieve and maintain NPPV3 and Security Clearance (SC).
Responsibilities:
- Undertake upgrades/decommissioning of unsupported applications across the IT estate
- Patching/Obsolescence Frameworks
- Build in Automation by implementing new tools
- Provide consultation on all non-functional, architecture, and design decisions.
- Ensure enterprise architecture is developed consistently and aligned across projects and programmes.
- Lead solution architecture activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to translates business requirements into technical options
- Act as Technical Design Authority and provides architectural governance and oversight
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and transition smoothly into production.
- Evaluate new technologies and provide architectural recommendations.
- Provides technical leadership and quality assurance
