Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: High WycombeSalary £40,000 - £50,000 per annumRole Overview: An established engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing team based near High Wycombe. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer with a manufacturing background to play a key role in driving product quality, supporting customers and suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement across the business. You'll work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and improve daily incoming and outgoing product inspection processes.
• Lead and mentor a small team of quality inspectors, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for quality issues, both internal and supplier related.
• Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years in a quality engineering role, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong experience with visual and dimensional inspection methods, tools, and techniques.
• Proven ability to lead small teams effectively, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, TS16949
• Experience with PPAP, FMEA, FAIR, and SPC.
