Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Neubrandenburg, Germany | Hybrid This employer is looking for a skilled technician to contribute to new construction and modernization projects for medium, high, and ultra-high voltage substations. The role is crucial in advancing the energy transition and supporting climate protection goals within the northeastern German region. The Role • Contribute to the energy transition by commissioning electrical technical components and complete substation renewal and new build projects. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control technology, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices for high and medium voltage systems from leading manufacturers. • Commission digital protection and control technology using state-of-the-art testing equipment. • Collaborate effectively with project management, planning, and assembly teams to ensure project success. • Support customer projects in energy transmission and distribution, and grid connection for industrial facilities and renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Affinity and expertise in protection/control technology, with experience in commissioning switchgear and knowledge of communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterizing software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5 and Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICROM TestUniverse. • Strong team player with a sense of responsibility, excellent decision-making and communication skills, and very good German language proficiency. • Valid driver's license Class B and willingness to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) within the northeastern German region.
