Sr PKI & Venafi Engineer

Sr. PKI & Venafi Engineer Chicago, IL 12-Month Contract

We are looking for a Senior PKI & Venafi Engineer with strong enterprise experience in Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), PKI, Venafi, and certificate automation.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in PKI / TLS Certificates / Certificate Lifecycle Management
• 5+ years hands-on Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP) administration & engineering
• Strong knowledge of X.509, TLS/SSL, Certificate Authorities, CRL, OCSP, HSM, root/intermediate CA
• Experience with certificate discovery, onboarding, renewal, deployment, revocation & automation
• Hands-on with Venafi APIs, Native Drivers, vCert, Adaptable Apps
• Experience automating certificate lifecycle using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, REST APIs & CI/CD
• Experience with GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
• Enterprise application onboarding across Windows, Linux, Azure, Kubernetes, IIS, WebLogic, F5, Kafka, Solace, Ping
• Experience with PKI operations, DR, resiliency, troubleshooting and L2/L3 production support
• Strong understanding of security, governance, compliance and certificate management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Education : At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
