Senior Data Engineer

Position: Senior Data Engineer- W2 only(Indpendent consultant)

Location: Remote, (Denver, CO / Nashville, TN) Occasionally need to travel on client location.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Java, and Python, who can drive large-scale data migration initiatives. This role focuses on designing scalable data architectures, building robust pipelines, and enabling business transformation through high-quality data solutions across industries like Healthcare and BFSI.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing systems using Java and Python.
• Develop and execute large-scale data migration strategies ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across pipelines and platforms.
• Optimize performance of data workloads and reduce processing costs on cloud environments.
• Support DevOps practices including CI/CD for data engineering workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer).
• Hands-on experience in Java and Python programming.
• Proven experience in large-scale data migration projects.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and distributed systems.
• Domain experience in Healthcare or BFSI preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
