Description
We are looking for a highly organized Network Administrator to support an energy and natural resources team in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on coordinating network support activities, monitoring ticket progress, and helping maintain timely resolution across a team of 15 network professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, solid Excel and documentation skills, and the ability to follow up consistently to keep work moving efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Track open network support requests and follow up with team members to help ensure issues are addressed within expected timeframes.
Maintain accurate records, status updates, and supporting documentation for network-related activities and outstanding work items.
Partner closely with network leadership to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support across the team.
Review aging tickets, identify overdue items, and communicate next steps to encourage timely closure and resolution.
Use Excel to organize data, prepare reports, and monitor service trends, backlog activity, and team follow-up needs.
Help coordinate workload visibility for a 15-person network team by keeping task status information current and accessible.
Support service management processes by assisting with ticket oversight and documenting updates in applicable systems when needed.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in network administration, network operations support, or a similar coordination-focused IT role.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage follow-up tasks consistently and accurately.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and organizing operational data.
Experience creating and maintaining clear, thorough documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and reinforce accountability in a consistent and accurate manner.
Familiarity with IT service management environments; exposure to ServiceNow ITSM is helpful but not required.
Capacity to manage multiple priorities while supporting a fast-moving team environment.
