Consultant, Modern Workplace (SE)

Overview

As a Modern Workplace Power Platform & Copilot Consultant, you will be part of our Modern Workplace Team delivering Microsoft technologies and implementations in enterprise environments. You will use your expertise to design and deliver innovative and tailored solutions that focus on the Power Platform & Copilot Studio to meet our clients' needs and maximize their return on investment.

As a Power Platform & Copilot Studio Consultant, you will design, build, and deliver intelligent low-code and AI powered solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power Automate. You'll work directly with enterprise clients to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that enhance productivity.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents) and the Power Platform
• Strong understanding of Power Platform governance, security, and ALM
• Client facing consulting experience, including requirements gathering and stakeholder management
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, and enterprise integration patterns
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-900, PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, AI-900, AB-730, AB-100
• Experience with Azure services (Functions, API integrations)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information systems management, or a related field
• 3-5+ years in Power Platform consulting roles

Responsibilities

AI Engineer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions that address real world business challenges.
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning models, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning approaches.
• Implement and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility for model development and production.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to operationalize AI solutions, leveraging services like Azure ML and Cognitive Services.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support integration of AI models into production systems.
• Stay current with the latest AI/ML research, tools, and best practices, and proactively share knowledge with the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in model performance, data quality, and deployment pipelines.
• Communicate technical concepts and results to both technical and non technical stakeholders.

Cloud & DevOps Architect Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and governance of DevOps CI/CD strategies and enterprise delivery pipelines.
• Architect and oversee implementation of Azure cloud solutions aligned to client business and technology strategies.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and DevOps practices across Azure environments.
• Provide technical leadership across project teams from requirements through architecture to operational handover.
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure architectures for modern workloads.
• Lead technical assessments and cloud adoption strategies for customers moving to Azure.
• Conduct architectural and technical reviews to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance, and business objectives.
• Mentor and guide analysts and consultants in delivery and capability development.
• Contribute to pre sales activities including solution shaping, estimations, proposals, and client presentations.

.NET & Software Development Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high performance, security focused, and robust software components and APIs.
• Integrate with other backend systems.
• Have a solid understanding of agile/scrum software development teams and processes.
• Contribute actively to the design, coding, integration, testing and deployment of high quality deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews and suggest areas for refactoring and improvement.
• Have a keen eye for identifying improvement opportunities and the skill to get buy in and ensure implementation.

Skills and Experiences:

• Core expertise: .Net specialist (Version .Net 8 Core)
• Modern development and DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, automated testing.
• 5+ years of experience with .Net development and design.
• Programming experience with C#, Typescript, and PowerShell.
• Experience with MS Visual Studio, ASP.NET, Blazor, and NuGet.
• Experience with ADO.NET and relational databases.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes (benefit).
• Additional experience: Linux environments, Java development, mainframe languages (COBOL, Natural, XGEN), mainframe databases (DB2, IMS, ADABAS), working with global and offshore teams.

Copilot & Power Platform Solution Lead Responsibilities:

• Helping clients realize meaningful business growth through workplace transformation with Copilot and agents; shape, sell, and coordinate the delivery of propositions that address client challenges.
• Develop pragmatic, deliverable, and sustainable Copilot solutions and roadmaps that enable clients to leverage Microsoft investments.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of future focused workplace and organization transformation propositions and solutions.
• Support the selling and implementation of Copilot propositions in response to market demand and digital trends.
• Assist senior team members with sales efforts including development of client proposals and pitch mechanics.
• Deliver sales presentations to clients and respond to RFPs.
• Build a positive project relationship, run workshops and lead clients to success.
• Design and develop Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot Studio agents, and Teams Toolkit Agents to meet client requirements.
• Lead a team of experts to drive success in delivering solutions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams under challenging circumstances to deliver high quality solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Microsoft 365 products.
• Share practices for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and extensibility knowledge with the global Avanade team.
